SATRO is Charity of the Year
Through the year there will be different events and challenges all helping to build the total and help SATRO continue to support inspirational learning to students of all abilities and backgrounds. SATRO is an educational charity working across the South Central England working in schools with young people between the ages of 7-18 of all abilities.

About the Charity
SATRO is a long established educational charity working across South Central England. They work in schools, partnering with employers to bring inspirational learning to students of all abilities and backgrounds. They have three key areas of focus:
- STEM Education: delivering in-school workshops, multi-school challenges and events, and research projects which bring STEM learning and careers to life for students from Primary to Post-16.
- Vocational Construction: delivering BTEC Level 1 construction qualifications, practical construction workshops and SEN independent skills training from school age to young adults.
- Employability & Skills: delivering careers, enterprise & skills workshops and mentoring partnerships which challenge perceptions and prepare students for their next steps in education, training or employment.

All areas of work directly involve employers in the development of real-world scenarios and careers understanding, including the involvement of staff as volunteers in delivery.
SATRO offers its services to all types of schools and students of all abilities - accepting every student for who they are. SATRO provides a full service to schools from booking, to the provision of all materials & equipment required on the day, administration of volunteers and delivery is led by experienced tutors.

- Inspiring a generation with a responsibility to solve the big issues of the day including climate change and sustainability;
- Wanting to support STEM, Construction or Business Skills Learning in schools;
- Placing an importance on the need to teach vocational skills to disengaged young people to increase employment opportunities;
- To help ensure learning opportunities and experiences are available to young people across all sections of society;
- Wanting to inspire and motivate those with an interest in research to achieve their goals;
- A strong belief or interest in teaching work-related skills to young people with special needs;
- A desire to support those who feel left behind by the education system to explore their options and aspire to achieve.

- Sponsor delivery to a specific school of group of young people;
- Support us invest in assets such as a van to take our work to schools.
