Curriculum Topics: Plants

Years 1-3
How the day works
A workshop investigating the secret life of plants, including how they communicate and the process of pollination.
Pupils look at the variables’ plants need to survive and how trees can communicate. They test their non-verbal communication skills by passing a message from “tree to tree”.
Depending on the length of workshop teachers have the choice for pupils to either investigate pollination as a fun task and/or give pupils the opportunity to survey flowering plants in their school grounds and practise their scientific drawing skills.
We bring all the materials and equipment needed to deliver inspirational and hands-on activities to support learning.
If you are looking for a workshop on classification for other year groups please see our Insects and Classification Workshop here
